Low-cost airline Jet2 has announced that it will again be flying to New York before Christmas. The northern-based airline started this route last year for pre-Christmas shopping trips, flying from Leeds Bradford airport. The idea was such a success that they are repeating the service again this year and there will also be flights from Newcastle airport. Our friends at a car rental company in Majorca have recently added to the choice of unusual cars on their fleet. They have taken delivery of two Ford Mustang convertibles. Both have 4-litre V6 engines and air-conditioning. One has automatic transmission and the other a manual gearbox. We know of no other rental company in Europe with these cars – but we are willing to be wrong so contact us if you have Mustangs, or something similar, on your fleet. Leading Spanish car rental companies Auriga Crown and Sol Mar have recently come under common ownership. This has created a group with considerable presence in the Spanish car hire market with offices throughout much of the country and most especially on the Costas.
