Your feedback..

‘just to say how much we appreciated the high level of service you gave in July after being recommended to your company. The car hire side of our holiday just went so smoothly – I would go so far as to say the best that I can recollect for many years which included a fair amount of overseas business travel. ..I will certainly recommend you to others.’ – referred client holidaying on the Costa Calida

‘that was a typically speedy and helpful reply’ – regular client looking for advice on car rental for Italy, Slovenia and Croatia in 2008

Free French up-grade..

Friends of mine rang recently, they were off on an urgent trip to France to view some property in the Languedoc region and needed a car. After considering the options and rates a compact car (VW Golf/Ford Focus or similar) was booked for a couple of days. On arrival at Toulouse, the rental company told them that they had a free up-grade. Free up-grades are always welcome but in this case their car was this silver Mercedes C220 CDi Sport! Coincidentally, they have just bought one of these and are awaiting delivery. Many thanks to Europcar for their usual excellent … Continue Reading

Goldcar up-date..

One of the biggest of the Spanish rental companies, Goldcar (previously known as Europa), has just advised some major improvements to their services. Although final confirmation is awaited, they are confident of having on-airport services at more of their airport locations in 2008. Already on-airport at Malaga, Alicante, Murcia, Valencia, Majorca, Almeria, Jerez and Gerona, they now anticipate being on-airport at Reus and Granada also. This means that Seville, currently their newest office, will be the only airport where they have an off-airport service. The other major news is that Goldcar also anticipate opening in the Canaries during 2008 … Continue Reading

Rental companies ask for business from carhirewarehouse…

We have had several recent approaches from rental companies asking for bookings from carhirewarehouse. The first was from an ambitious company in Crete with plans to expand to other islands and also to the Greek mainland. Nikos listened to our input regarding their rates and the levels of excess and then came back with more attractive rates and also reduced the amount of excess. We look forward to our first bookings with servicerentacar.

The next approach was from a company at Malaga. They have a good choice of cars, including some that are in demand but in limited supply, so we … Continue Reading

Latest business…

The past couple of weeks have been a mix of late autumn bookings and enquiries for next year. A mixture of ’special offers’ from low-cost airlines, especially Ryanair, and the schools half-term holiday has led to many late autumn breaks at bargain rates. This means several bookings for Murcia including a 9-seater Mercedes Vito and also a 6-seater, a Citroen Berlingo in Jerez plus cars at Gerona, Carcassonne, Perpignan, Pisa, Alicante and Poitiers. One-ways were popular in order to get the best flight prices, routings being Carcassonne to Bergerac, Poitiers to La Rochelle and Seville to Malaga. A little further … Continue Reading

Car rentals for property investors..

Our friends at mysimpleworld, an overseas property agency, rang us recently. They had an important client visiting Spain with a view to purchasing some investment properties and he wanted to hire a luxury car. Not only that but the car was to be delivered to his hotel in La Manga and he would return it at Malaga airport – was this possible and if so would we arrange it for him? No sooner said than done. We arranged an air-conditioned Mercedes C-class automatic on a deal with free additional driver, no excess and no additional charges for the one-way routing. … Continue Reading
