Friends of mine rang recently, they were off on an urgent trip to France to view some property in the Languedoc region and needed a car. After considering the options and rates a compact car (VW Golf/Ford Focus or similar) was booked for a couple of days. One of the biggest of the Spanish rental companies, Goldcar (previously known as Europa), has just advised some major improvements to their services. Although final confirmation is awaited, they are confident of having on-airport services at more of their airport locations in 2008. Already on-airport at Malaga, Alicante, Murcia, Valencia, Majorca, Almeria, Jerez and Gerona, they now anticipate being on-airport at Reus and Granada also. This means that Seville, currently their newest office, will be the only airport where they have an off-airport service.
